Summer takes its toll again on attendance, but we had a great time playing.
Spinderella is a neat little racing game of ants trying to dodge spiders in a forest. Carol 1st, Noreen 2nd, Dave 3rd, and Bob 4th.
Codenames, where every game ended poorly, was played three times, with two wins by the team of Carol, Noreen & Leslie.
Between 2 Cities has each played pairing up with a partner to build a city, then scoring the lower of their 2 cities. David 65, Carol, Paul, Noreen, & Leslie all tied at 54 (Carol won the tiebreaker, and Paul lost it, but Leslie and Noreen tied there as well!), and Bob at 50.
Dominion came out for the start of our Expansion project. It is going to take us 26 games to play all cards! Dave 40, Carol 35, Leslie 34, Noreen 27
Jaipur is a two player economic game: Paul beat Bob 2-0
FlowerPower is great Kosmos "Spiel fur Zwei" where Paul won 20-18 over Bob.
We came back together to play Showmanager, a great choice for 6. Dave 49, Paul 47, Carol 42, Leslie, 35, Bob 24, Noreen 23.
Black Spy is a trick taking game where you do't want any points. Noreen scored only 5, followed by Leslie 13, Carol 21, Dave 76, Bob 77, Paul 108.
Railroad Tycoon came out after a dinner break: Bob 1st, Noreen 2nd, Leslie 3rd, Dave 4th, Carol 5th, Paul 6th

Power Grid has dozens of maps, but we played one of the base game maps this week, Germany. This was one game that didn't end in a tie, which is unusual for PG. Henry: #15 cities/$15, David: #13/$112, Bob W. #13/$26, Eric: #13/$8, Pail #12/$17
Istanbul has players vying to collect jewels, either by trading for them, buying them, or acquiring them as awards for achievements. This game ended in a rare tie, broken by money... Alf: 5 gems/$3, Eric 5 gems/$0, Bob W. 4 gems
German Railways is an expansion to Russian Railways that adds several modules, which you can pick and choose from. Henry 493. Paul 365, Dave 291.
Takenoko involves feeding pandas bamboo and scoring points for making him eat the right bamboo at the right time. Paul 30, Eric 23, Henry 18, Bob 14
Port Royal is a push your luck game with an Age of Sail theme. Henry 12, Bob 11, Paul 7
Agricola hit the table a second time, as Dave was sad to have missed out on the first game. Dave 34, Noreen 26, Carol 20. We all agreed that the Belgium Deck left a lot to be desired.

First up was the classic Doris & Frank title, Igel Argern, wherein Bob managed a victory over David, Howard, Noreen, Carol & Jack.
Meanwhile, Eric R. won a 2-player game of Lanterns over laura.
Colt Express involves robbing a train, and has wonderful 3-d components. Eric R. & Noreen tied for a win with $2000 each, followed by Laura with $1750, Eric H. with 350, and Carol who lived to tell the tale, but , alas, came up empty in the looting department.
Dave, Jack, Bob, & Howard set out to make a fortune in the German power market, playing Power Grid on the Germany map, and using the High-Speed DC transmission line expansion. Dave and Jack both managed to power 17 cities, while Bob and Howard got to 16. Money is the tie breaker though, so final positions were: Dave (17/$73), Jack (17/$52), Bob (16/$23), and Howard (16/$17). A very interesting game...
Broom service is an update/re-implementation to Witch's Brew. Carol (71) managed to win, followed by Laura (68), Eric H (67), Eric R (59) and Noreen (49).
Broom service was still being played, so the power gridders played a game of Cacao. This is a cute, quick-playing tile-laying game with a chocolate-farming theme. Howard (59) won, followed by Dave (54), Bob (45) and Jack (39).
The last two games were Ticket to Ride Pennsylvania, where Bob (182) won handily over Jack (167), Carol (157) and Noreen (125), and Istanbul where Laura won with 5 gems followed by Eric R, Eric H, and David with 4 gems each, and Howard with 3.

Dave, Bob, Chris and Alf played Burgle Brothers, but were all captured.
Ticket To Ride: Pennsylvania made an appearance, and the scores were: Paul 192, Noreen 175, Jack 167, Eric 139, and Chuck 128. I really like this map, as it adds stock to the mix. I have yet to try the Great Briton side...
Orleans made another appearance, with scores as follows; Chris 131, Dave 118, Nathaniel, 105, Paul 100, Bob 94. This is one of my favorite games of last year. I expect to play it a great deal this year.
Above and Below is a unique story-driven game of adventurers. Alf (42), Jack (40), Noreen (39) and Eric (34) played. I love the artwork in this one.
"The Game" is the confusingly named coop card game in which a win is a score of 0, but anything under 10 is considered pretty good. Bob, Dave, Chris, Paul, and Nathaniel got a score of 2.
Port Royal is getting a lot of play with our group, this time Alf (12), Eric (10) Noreen and Jack (9 each) took to the seas to become the greatest pirate of all.
